“Alussa oli pelkkää loputonta mustaa
Ja siinä mustuudessa Kaiken Äiti, Maailman Kohtu
Ja Kaiken Äiti oli olematta, olomuodotta
Ollen aina kaikkialla ja ei missään
Ja Kaiken Äiti uinui nukkumatta
Unetta ja nähden kaikkia unia”
~
“Ja siinä mustuudessa Kaiken Äiti, Maailman Kohtu
Havahtui levottomaan ajatukseen
Heräsi rauhattomaan yksinäisyyteen
Vakiinnutti itselleen muodon mieluisan
Ajatteli itselleen miehen mieleisen
Ja siihen mustaan synnytti yhdeksän lasta”
~
“Syntyi Tulikokko, lapsista ensimmäinen
Sulistaan rakensi pesän pimeän keskelle
Takoi auringon ja kaikki kirkkaat tähdet
Teki töitä tuhat kertaa tuhat vuotta
Kunnes väsyneenä vaipui painajaiseen
Siitä sikisi rikkisielut ja tuhkasydämet”
~
“Syntyi Maaäet, lapsista toinen
Joka kantajansa tavoin uinui uinumistaan
Hän näki maat, mannut, suuret vuoret
Ja herätessään muuttui uni todeksi
Eikä Maaäet enää koskaan malttanut nukkua
Niin kaunis oli tuo luomakunta katsoa”
~
“Syntyi Aallotar, lapsista kolmas
Muassa sateiden, merivesien, kuohupäiden
Kaivoi itsensä syvään, kaivoi mutaan
Ettei sieltä kukaan kasvojaan näkisi
Vaan veden alla yhdestä tuli yhdeksän
Yhdeksän sisarta muille tuntematonta”
~
“Syntyi Uro, lapsista neljäs
Eikä sisaruksistaan seuraa lainkaan saanut
Kerran hiljaa hiipi Tulikokon tykö
Täytti säkin, täytti taskut auringon kipunoista
Antoi niille elon lahjan, antoi nimet
Nuo kekäleet ovat nyt eläimet, ihmiset”
~
“Syntyi Kuolema, lapsista viides
Kalpea kulkija itse ilman kuoleman lahjaa
Veljensä tekoja tekemättömäksi tekemään
Ihmishenget hengettömäksi iskemään
Veljensä laulut riipiviksi riitasoinnuiksi
Kun ei kerran äidiltään lupaa tekoonsa saanut”
~
“Syntyi Itkijätär, lapsista kuudes
Istui kylmällä kivellä, kovalla povella katkeralla
Itki elämän tuskaa ja vaivaista vaellusta
Itki kyynelten kirvellessä matkallansa
Surusta sai ihminen osakseen taudit ja vaivat
Joita yötä myöten korjata saattaa”
~
“Syntyi Noita, lapsista seitsemäs
Sydämeensä kirjaili riimut mustat
Joista kaikki taikuudet ja kiroukset tulevat
Ihmisten mailla matkasi tuo viekas
Kylvi synkkään mieleen loitsun siemenen
Hirsipuun alla puki lapsen pedon nahkaan”
~
“Syntyi Sarvikallo, lapsista kahdeksas
Epämuodostunut muodonmuuttaja
Tahtomattaan tuli tähän maailmaan tuoduksi
Sairaan valan vannoi, itsensä Noidan avuksi
Vai syntyikö hän nummella hirttoköyden alla
Ja kuka silloin kantaa lasta kahdeksatta”
~
“Syntyi Kyyemo, lapsista yhdeksäs ja viimeinen
Suomuselkä, myrkkyhammas
Munastaan matkasi pian varjojen syliin
Kiemurteli tiensä multiin, luoliin syviin
Maailmanpuun juurakoihin paha käärme
Elämän virtaan saastaansa sylkien”
~
“Ja siinä mustuudessa Kaiken Äiti, Maailman Kohtu
Näki lastensa työt, niin hyvät kuin pahat
Eikä muotonsa ollut enää mieleen
Hajotti henkensä huoneen, sielunsa suojan
Miehensä söi ja oksensi mustaa mustan päälle
Lakkasi olemasta ollakseen olematta”
Tulikokko, the Firewing
The most widely announced and worshiped deity in Synk’maa. Considered as the main god of the pantheon by the Children of the Eternal Flame, the most known faction devoted to Firewing. Their leaders have as much impact on the politics of Synk’maa as the King of Gallowmoor and the grand royal of the realm.
Firewing is represented by the Oracle, a Holy Child carefully nominated by the CEF. The Oracle channels the will of Firewing to the public.
All the white mages are members of the CEF by default, thus recognizing faith in Firewing.
Temples dedicated to Firewing are titled as the Churches of the Eternal Flame.
Sulfur Souls and Ashen Hearts, the mythical beings born from Tulikokko, are considered as angelic holy beings by CEF.
As the symbol of faith is a fiery circle, with a hawk-like bird in the middle.
The funeral rites include the cremation of the dead, burying them in urns in groves dedicated to the followers of Firewing.

Maaäet, Mother Terra
Despite giving birth to Synk’maa, the Dark Realm itself, and the other planets in the cosmos via her dreams, Mother Terra isn’t widely worshiped goddess.
There is no known faction dedicated to Mother Terra.
Some witch covens and wizard clans living in the wilderness are rumored to have their own small cults devoted to the earth goddess.
The feral folk of Synk’maa, as well as the mythological clans of primate warriors, are said to announce Mother Terra as the one true deity. However, their possible religious/spiritual systems and principles are kept tightly to themselves.

Aallotar, the Wave Maiden
Probably the third most announced deity in Synk’maa.
There is no single organized group dedicated to Wave Maiden, since Sea Witches and other worshipers tend to stay in their own small clans.
Port cities around Synk’maa host Sanctuaries of Waves, places of worship and sacrifice to Wave Maiden.
The most well known symbol to depict Wave Maiden is an idol of a woman veiled with a fishing net, dressed in algae and seaweed.
The dead worshipers are buried in the sea, in the sea goddess’ cold caress.
It is rumored that across the ocean shores are small villages, where Wave Maiden and her sisters are worshiped extremely fanatically. These withdrawn communities are told to sacrifice even people.

Uro, the Wight
The second most worshiped deity in Synk’maa.
Wight doesn’t have a single, widely organized religious faction, even though the Warrior’s League, found in practically any city nowadays, has its origins in the worship of Wight.
All the subsections of the Warrior’s League are in tight connections with each other and some officials consider them as a valid religious group, despite the fact the League doesn’t even demand any kind of confession of faith from their members.
The funeral rites include cremation, but instead of having groves for urns, the ashes of the dead are laid in the wilderness.

Kuolema, Death
Death’s status as an object of organized worship is problematic. Death isn’t seen as an antagonistic deity per se, but due to the actions of Necromancers, Cadaver Feeders and various death cults, it is nowadays forbidden to worship Death.
Much of the knowledge about Death’s worship and customs related to it, is scarce and obscured.
That being said, the most well known symbol of death cults is a human skull with a third eye open on its forehead.
Related classes; Cadaver Feeder, Necromancer, Pale Walker, Sentient Corpse.
Itkijätär, the Wailing Sister
Wailing Sister doesn’t have any dedicated or widespread spiritual groups or organizations.
The habitants of the north of Southern Synk’maa are told to worship Wailing Sister at least in some manner, but the truthfulness of these rumors hasn’t been verified.
Some of the royals of Gray Burg belonging to the inner circle of King Siegfried, are told to revere Wailing Sister as their goddess in secrecy.
The vile hermit mages known as Plague Seers, interpret Wailing Sister as a hostile goddess of diseases. These seers are malign in spirit and do not even try to hide it.

Noita, the Witch
One of the most controversial deities in the pantheon of Synk’maa. Her significance in birthing and evolving magic is more than undisputed, but her role in the First War has made announcing Witch undeniably questionable and problematic.
Manifold groups have been acting in the name of Witch through the ages, and after the First War, most of these parties haven’t done especially flattering endeavors.
Black Mages speak on behalf of Witch the most, and the boldest and proudest of them aspire to make her worship publicly acceptable once more.
The most arrogant Black Mages use pentagrams with different designs as the insignia of their faith.
Related classes; Black Mage, Pale Walker, Plague Seer.
Sarvikallo, the Hornskull
Not a single trace of any group or cult worshiping Hornskull has been recorded, or those records are now gone. If there are any such parties existing, they are keeping themselves very much unknown.
Shapeshifters and Were-Beasts are said to be descendants of Hornskull, but it remains a mystery if these beings actually worship him.
The people of Synk’maa react with hatred to Were-Beasts, as their existence is seen as alien and antagonistic. Thus, most of the Were-Beasts keep their true nature securely hidden.
Additionally, some of the feral folk relate themselves to Hornskull with odd warmth, as they see themselves as outcasts of society in the same way as Hornskull is an outcast in the pantheon of Synk’maa.
Related classes; Feral Being, Were-Beast.
Kyyemo, the Serpent Mother
The religious and spiritual status is very much the same compared to Serpent Mother’s supposed brother, Hornskull.
The public attitude toward the possible and highly rare followers is utterly negative, due to the actions of various serpent cults during the First War.
There are ancient stories about dragons, great wyrms and monstrous lizards that could have been Serpent Mother’s offspring. Even if these things were to exist, all the traces of possible evidence are now lost and gone and nobody could ever prove they once were.
Related classes; Feral Being, Plague Seer.
Machinists and Living Puppets do not worship any deities.
Melee Tanks, Noble Bloods and Spellblade Mercenaries may worship practically any deities.
